Toothed Whale

I found this guy just sitting on a gravel bar while I was exploring a new area. Except for dropping
it and breaking off the tip, this picture is just as I found it. The root is broken, but I believe this tooth
 will clean up nicely.
While this is not my first Squalodon, I kind of like this one. This tooth has some weight to it and the
crown is a decent size. I was only able to spend a short time at this spot, but I did find enough
interesting material to warrant a return trip at some future date.

This tooth is a little over 2 1/4 inches.
Monmouth County, NJ.
