2015 I've collect old bottles for years, some of my nicer ones were found SCUBA diving in one of the lakes where I grew up. The local church was also a school house in the 1800's and the land across the street was a well known swimming and picnic area until the school closed around the turn of the century. We had permission from the church to park there and dive off of that old swimming hole. A literal gold mine for old bottles and inkwells. I still poke around for them now and then while fossil collecting . I happen to find the tops of a couple of "corker" bottles in the stream one day and decided to try and locate the source. I got side tracked when this ax head turned up while I was scratching around in the dirt. I spent hours scouring the surface looking for any sign of additional artifacts with no luck.
