March 2008
Other projects have been keeping us out of the streams lately. The
end of March
presented us with the opportunity to get out and do a little exploring.
We covered a lot of ground, stopping here and there to see what a few
shovelfuls
of gravel would produce. Not much in the way of teeth, although one location did
produced
some nice bivalves. The serenity of the day was soon ruined by Bob's
scream of "BONE",
as he pulled a half buried
mosasaur vertebra from the gravel bank.

Mosasaur vertebrae are concave on the front end and convex on the
posterior.
Not much in the way of teeth on this trip. Most of what we
did find were rather stream worn.
I just kind of like this one.
